Terms of use
Version 1 · Effective November 2, 2026.
The short version. Zweck is general training guidance, not medical advice. You pay through Apple, and Apple handles refunds. Founding members keep their price for three years. Use Zweck fairly, and we'll treat you fairly. British Columbia law applies, and you keep every consumer right you have where you live.
Who we are, and the agreement
Zweck is made by Boyd & Company Business Solutions Ltd., a company in British Columbia, Canada ("we").
Your use of the Zweck app is covered by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and by this page. This page adds the promises and limits that only we can state. It doesn't replace Apple's agreement.
How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
Who can use Zweck
You must be 18 or older.
What Zweck is, and what it isn't
Zweck is general training guidance. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
- Before you start, Zweck asks the PAR-Q+ health screening questions. If your answers suggest you should check with a professional first, Zweck points you to the official follow-up at eparmedx.com and doesn't write a plan until you've cleared the questions.
- If your health changes after you have a plan, stop training and get advice before carrying on. A plan you already have keeps going, so that's up to you.
- Listen to your body. Stop if something hurts, or if you feel dizzy, faint, short of breath beyond normal effort, or pain in your chest, and get help.
- Zweck's plans are our judgment from the sources we cite, and haven't been reviewed by a qualified professional. Our method pages show the reasoning, including where the evidence runs out.
- The Coach can make mistakes. It's built to be careful, and to say when it can't do something well, but it isn't perfect. You decide what you actually do.
Paying for Zweck
- You pay through Apple's App Store, as an in-app purchase, under Apple's terms. We never see your card or payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. A free trial, when offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first. Apple's rules on cancellation timing apply.
- To cancel, use your App Store subscription settings. Deleting your Zweck account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. We can't issue them ourselves. You can ask Apple for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices are set by the App Store for each country, in your own currency.
The founding-member price
Everyone who subscribes during Zweck's first year on the App Store is a founding member. Your price stays the same for three years from the day you first subscribe, as long as your subscription stays active. If it lapses and you subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
Using Zweck fairly
Please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around how Zweck works, or reach anything that isn't yours;
- try to make the Coach produce anything harmful, or use it for anything other than your own training;
- use someone else's account, or let someone else use yours;
- use Zweck to break the law.
Closing an account
You can delete your account at any time, in Account. What happens to your data is in our privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account if it's used to break the law, misuse Zweck as described above, or break these terms. We'll normally tell you first, and give you a chance to download your data. If there's a serious risk to other people or to Zweck, we may act straight away. Subscription refunds, if any, are Apple's to decide.
Changes
Zweck is still being built, and features change. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll update the version number and date at the top, and tell you in the app before the change applies.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and of Canada. Nothing in them takes away any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
